Matthew is an associate in the Business and Tax Practice Group. His experience includes advising on transactional due diligence, business transactions, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, entity formation, intellectual property, and business tax matters. Matthew’s work involves creating robust solutions for clients that allow them to meet their goals today and into the future.

In his previous career in international development, Matthew spent time working in Africa and Asia. Before entering law school, Matthew worked in the Willamette Valley helping to develop policies that built healthier communities. Together, these experiences inspired Matthew to enter the legal profession so he could do more to assist others. While attending law school, Matthew worked for the Oregon Supreme Court under Justice Adrienne Nelson and clerked at local law firms.

Off the Job

Matthew grew up in the Willamette Valley and still finds time to help out on his family’s farm. Matthew and his wife enjoy spending their free time together running, exploring public lands, and traveling abroad.
