Habitat for Humanity - Women's Build 2025

May 13, 2025

Since 1991, Habitat’s Women Build volunteers have come together from all walks of life to build stronger, safer communities. Women Build opportunities are available across the U.S., and any woman or person who wants to learn how to build or repair a home is invited to join.
Women and children are the most likely to be affected by poor living conditions, and these events provide the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities. Women Build is also a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages in crucial work with a lasting impact. You can also come alone and make new friends; the atmosphere is collaborative and friendly!

Union Gospel Mission — Simonka Place

March 28, 2025

Simonka Place is a women’s and children’s shelter located in Keizer, Oregon. The Union Gospel Mission provides this space as a sanctuary for up to 80 women and children to stay and get access to several resources. During our volunteer session, attorneys and staff served lunch, prepped dinner, cleaned vans, and did yard work. March is National Women’s History Month, and we are honored to have played a small part in supporting women in our community. We are grateful to the Union Gospel Mission for the opportunity to be involved in Simonka Place’s mission to serve.

Salem Angels

December 2024

Our firm participated in a toy and clothing drive for Salem Angels, an organization dedicated to serving foster families in the Salem area. Part of their mission statement focuses on “intentional giving”, such as thoughtful and personalized resources, gifts, and care packages that meet the real needs of the child and their entire family. Saalfeld Griggs is happy to have provided 84 items for over 30 kids and families. Our attorneys’ and staff’s generosity is inspiring during the holiday season. We hope to continue supporting Salem Angels and their important work throughout the year.

Marion Polk Food Share

October 3, 2024

A team of Saalfeld Griggs employees had the opportunity on October 3, 2024 to volunteer at Marion Polk Food Share! Not only was it a great way to serve our community and help a local non-profit, but it was also a great way for our employees to socialize with each other. Saalfeld Griggs is committed to being involved in our community and making a difference.

Marion Polk Food Share’s mission is to bring people together to end hunger and its root causes.

Center for Hope & Safety

August 7, 2024

We had a team of Saalfeld Griggs employees volunteer on August 7, 2024 at Center for Hope & Safety as part of our quarterly volunteer projects. The Center for Hope & Safety had a grand opening for their newly built Hope Plaza. They provide services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking. We were honored to be able to help them prepare for their grand opening and learn more about their organization.
